Nicholas Scott Thorne affectionately called "Nick" by family and friends; was born on November 27, 1991, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, John K. Thorne and Rhea C. Watson Thorne. He was the first born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brother, Joshua. Nick received his early education by graduating from the Denver School of the Arts located in Denver, Colorado. He furthered his education by attending the University of Northern Colorado in Greely, Colorado. By profession, Nicholas worked as a Programmer, a Support Technician and a Creative Writer for Flowhub, and TGS Management. He took great pride in his work and performance. He was the type of person who worked well independently or in a group setting while performing his task with precision and accuracy. He worked well with his co-workers and management team. Nick was a Co-Founder of the Black Actors Guild in Colorado. He truly enjoyed exploring and developing his acting creativity and the many performances that he had played a role. He had been a part of the guild for over eight years. His talent was well noted and well received. He was one who was destined for greatness. Nick was a fun-loving young man, who enjoyed life and those he encircled. In his free time, he enjoyed sports but his favorite was basketball, football and soccer. He also loved writing and acting. His closest friends, Khalil Aready, Nigel Daniels, Tanner Steele, Quinn Marchman, Ryan Foo, AJ Tapia, Fronzo Gilkey, Christina Pittaluga, Kayla Marque, Danny Ramos, David Aready, Brittany Vickers, Barton Cowperthwaite and Corin Chavez will all miss the camaraderie's they all shared together. They will also miss his smile, his creativity, his love and his passion for life. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful guy, who leaves a void that, can never be filled. To know Nick was to love him. Nicholas Scott Thorne departed this life on February 8, 2017, in Aurora, Colorado. Those left to mourn his loss include his parents, John K. and Rhea C. Thorne of Aurora; his brother. Joshua S. Thorne of Aurora; his grandparents, Janet M. Thorne of Denver and Verna Pritchard of Westminster and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
