Ned Pace was born to Matty Poindexter in Jackson, Mississippi on October 30th 1937. His mother passed when he was just an infant and was raised by Missouri Randall, his grandmother. Ned had three sisters Rosie Walker, Priscilla Roberts, and Mabel Booker.
Following High Schoo,l he worked various jobs until moving to Denver Colorado with his Aunt Rose Whitsel, Uncle Willie Poindexter, and Grandmother Missouri Randall. In the early 1960s he met the love of his life Vonceil Finley and was loved her daughter Jacqueline Finley as if she were his own. Ned and Vonceil fell in love and married on August 17th 1963. That Union produced two sons Ned Pace Jr. And Rodney Pace. Ned was a proud, smart ,and hard worker. In January of 1967 began his career with Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Plant and carved out a successful career for the next 28 years with numerous citations and awards until his retirement in 1995. Ned was a proud Union member of the United Steelworkers Local 8031 and sustained his membership with the Cold War Patriots throughout his retirement.
In retirement Ned enjoyed Family, Music, Sports, and all his beloved dogs. But his main Joy was his wife Vonceil who he was married to for 52 years till her death in 2014. Ned passed March 1st, 2021 at St Joseph Hospital surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his sister Rosie Walker of Milwaukee Wisconsin, Son Ned Pace Jr, Son Rodney Pace, Step Daughter Jacqueline Finley, grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
