Mustapha Dawood Raheem Torain was born on May 19, 1975, to his parents Gwendolyn Torain and David Earl West in Ohio. He was raised with his siblings, Travis Nicol Torain and Steven West.
As a child, Mustapha enjoyed playing games such as Dominoes, Scrabble, chess, and Spades. He loved music and enjoyed hanging out with his friends. He was raised in Ohio, where he grew up with his cousins, whom he was very close with.
As an adolescent, Mustapha played basketball, enjoyed hanging out, eating food and embraced life to the fullest. To know him was to know that he was a gentle giant. However, Don’t get it wrong he was opinionated and never wrong. He spoke his mind and expected honesty of others. He was also a momma’s boy who tried very hard to keep her pleased.
His proudest accomplishments came when he was blessed with the birth of his daughter, Kamariah Shahada Torain. He gained an additional source of pride and joy with the addition of his grandchildren, Demaryius, Desirée, and DeiZón.
He will be most remembered for torturing kids with heavy-duty workouts, playing lots of games, and giving suggestions of recipes to cook. He will truly be missed.
He is survived by his Sister Travis, Daughter Kamariah Grandchildren Demaryius, Desirèe and DeiZón; Niece Larece, Nephew Deontae, Aunts and uncles, and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
