Precious Memories
Mother Josephine Anderson

To plant a seed in one's heart...to root it in love...
To nourish it with time spent together...
Yields a blossom that will flourish forever.

Josephine (Jo) Adams, (Mom Anderson), was born to Allen George Adams and Savanna Sutton Adams on August 2, 1930, in Grand Chain, Ill. At a very young age, she accepted the Lord in her life. In 1946 she met and married Edward B Anderson. Josephine moved to Denver Colorado in 1979, Edward preceded her in death. Throughout her life, Josephine developed enduring friendships beginning at a young age because of her warm heart and engaging spirit. Raised by a wonderful parent and two aunts, Mariah and Fannie, she learned to be hospitable and giving to all, especially her family. The neighborhood, Grand Chain, IL was the place where she began lifelong friendships. Her siblings who preceded her in death are Odie, Tiece E., Vernon D, Theonzo, Everett and Ionie Adams. She had one sister, Elizabeth Adams Turner Stubblefield who preceded her in death also. The family loved each other and grew up in a caring and loving home environment.

Continuing education prepared Mom Anderson to be involved in many different enterprises for her career patterns. After being married twenty-nine (29) years to Edward B. Anderson they parted in a divorce. She became a domestic worker and worked many years serving others.

Mom Anderson joined Agape Christian Church in Denver, Co in 1980. She served as one of the Church Mothers, Servant-Leaders, Ladies Circle leaders and a leader in the culinary department. As long as life would allow Mom Anderson served on the Board of Directors for the Community Outreach Service Center. She supported the Church financially; as well as being willing to serve whenever asked. She loved cooking. She prepared many meals for specials events at the Church. What a beautiful woman of servitude.

Mom Anderson suffered a stroke in 2005. Since that time she has been under the care of Total Long Term Care (Innovage) and her family that supplied for her physically, medically, socially and recreationally. Mom Anderson was surrounded with care 7 days a week. She was instrumental in supporting her son, Dr. Robert Woolfolk, Pastor, Agape Christian Church in Denver as he has developed a comprehensive ministry at the Agape Christian Church in Denver.

Mom Anderson's impact on others will be felt for future generations because she lovingly served her friends, and family with her down to earth goodness, compassion, unerring kindness and love. We love you and will miss your ministry to all.

Josephine Anderson departed this life on May 26, 2019, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include, her son, Dr. Robert E.
