Monica Lynn Fite was born on to Gwendel Fite and Derrick Briggs on December 4, 1971, in Omaha, Nebraska. She was the eldest of Gwendel’s six children and according to her siblings, she was their rock. In 1975, the family relocated to Denver Colorado, where Monica attended school and built beautiful friendships. As a child, Monica loved to sit with her grandmother, Ella and her Mother Gwendel and watch old black and white movies one of her favorites was “Imitation of Life.” She also enjoyed listening to Records dancing and singing along with the music. And even as a young child she would take her money and Save it. As life would have it the family went through some hard times and She with the help of her grandmother, Ella Mae, Joi, Caro Leon, Anthony Ray-Michael, Brandyie Love, and Timothy Shane, and just like every problem thrown her way she figured it out. Growing up this way made her make a decision to be the very best mother, sister and friend, she could be, and gave her the determination to Never allow her family to struggle again, which made her focus on her education. In High School, she attended both Thomas Jefferson and George Washington High schools. And furthered her education at Concord for Medical Assisting, and soon realized that she didn’t want anyone feeding her a paycheck, so she went back to school to get a degree in Business Management, with the hopes of opening her own restaurant, but in the meantime, if there was an opportunity for entrepreneurship, her hands were in it. If it was a money maker, please believe it had her personal touch. On July 6, 1992, she began her journey into motherhood and as luck would have it, she got to out the way. And just like her Mother she was blessed with six amazing children that she loved endlessly! She made a vow that Her children would never know what going without was. And she made it happen at all costs. Birthdays and holidays at her house were never small affairs she loved to entertain and did so with class and you could tell she was in her element, house would be immaculate, she would be dressed to the 9s, Delicious Food, Music would be on point and everyone from the children to the Adults all enjoyed themselves. Through all the trials she made peace with everyone before her passing she always played an important piece in all of her family and friends lives from naming all of her nieces and nephews and children to giving us all confidence in ourselves and expressing how proud she was of us all she was never shy about letting any of us know we all are part of a beautiful family she always pointed out all the little things we each picked up from her whether it was our beauty , style or personality we can all say Monica gave us all a piece of her! She was always the life of the party no matter where she was or who she was with truly unforgettable! Monica always had a passion for success you could probably say success was her middle name she always took care of business and stayed ahead of her game she taught all of her friends and family valuable lessons to succeed which are treasured by each of us and it can be seen that her hands were in it by decisions made and if it wasn’t that she defiantly was the ultimate problem solver in life no matter the circumstances she had all the answers and if she didn’t she knew how to get them! Advise came natural to her or helping anyone during life’s changes or pivotal moments. Her passions were cooking and making her own recipes she always dreamt of owning her own restaurant one day that served all types of food from all walks of life with Coa-Coa’s touch of course
