Miss Little Davis

May 23, 2007 — November 29, 2017

Ashawnty Breanne Davis was born in Denver, Colorado on May 23, 2007, to her parents Anthiny B. Davis and Latoshia L. Harris. She was first girl born, the middle child, and the mother hen of the family; she kept things in order. She was blessed to have older brothers, Anthony, Tavion, LaJon, Tariq; and younger sisters, Amarey, Anyiah, and Antaviyah. Ashawnty’s parents remember her being a self-starter, always wanting to get the job done before even being asked to complete a task. School was never a challenge, Ashawnty attended Side Creek Elementary in the Aurora Public School District and Sunrise Elementary School in the Cherry Creek School District. She was a fifth--grade honored student with additional classroom duties to assist her teachers. Ashawnty would receive awards for helping other students integrate in to the school. She took the new students on tours and introduced them to school staff members and students so they would feel comfortable. Ashawnty operated in an “old spirit,” as if she had already been here; she had the personality of one who would take care of others, and that is what she did for her friends and family. Her love for music told a story all on its own. Ashawnty loved to listen to Rhythm and Blues, R&B music, especially the “Oldies.” Her playlist was full of artists from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. Along with her love for music, she loved to dance. Ashawnty was a “Daddy’s Girl.” She loved and looked up to her Dad. They had a bond that was unbreakable. Her daddy made sure she was spoiled with everything she wanted. A “sporty girl;” football and basketball were two sports that she loved. Her favorite football team was the Pittsburg Steelers. She would cheer the Steelers on even when she was the only one cheering. (Everyone else in the house liked the Denver Broncos.) Ashawnty had big dreams. She was not interested in being a WNBA player, she wanted to be a WNBA SUPER STAR! A kind, loving, and responsible child who loved her family and friends. Ashawnty had the grace to accomplish great things. On November 29, 2017, Ashawnty Breanne Davis departed this life into the embrace of the Lord. She leaves to cherish her memory and mourn her loss, her parents, Anthony B. Davis and Latoshia L.
