Bobbie N. Shellman-Klawans was born on December 5, 1952, in Plainview, Texas to her parents, Abner D. Shellman and Ethel Lee Hines. Bobbie was the ninth of 10 biological siblings and 10 stepsiblings. All her siblings said, "She will be best remembered for her loving and forgiving heart, passion for God, willingness to help others, spirit of excellence, and as the "Big Little Sister!" Bobbie Has been in church all her life, she became a licensed minister in 1995, and proudly receiver her missionary license last year, 2015. She loved God and doing his work. She was a faithful member of the Saint John Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Pastor Debra Clay. Bobbie was a welled educated woman; she graduated high school in Plainview, Texas. After moving to Colorado, she continued her education by attending Pickens Tech and completing a nail technician course. Bobbie later attended Emily Griffith Opportunity School where she attained her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate. She completed college courses in Human Relations, Psychology, and Physical Education at Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, TX and received her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the Community College of Aurora. She always said her life experience started when she became a young mother raising three children; while raising her children, Bobbie worked for Denver Public Schools in the Health Care field, and Regional Transportation Department, where she meet her late husband, Bruce Klawans, they were married April 6, 2001. At the age of 46, Bobbie gained custody of her three granddaughters; because of their ages and her desire to raise them properly; in 2001, she opened her first business called Grammies Place Child Care. This gave her the opportunity to instill Godly morals in her granddaughters as well as the many children she care for over the years. After raising her granddaughters, she closed her childcare center and later opened her second business, Caring for Disabled Adults. Bobbie was a very successful entrepreneur. She was a woman competent in many endeavors and excelled in many of them. She did everything she put her mind to do. In her free time, Bobbie enjoyed attending church, church functions, and traveling; spending time with loves ones, event planning, decorating, and helping others. Bobbie was a kind, caring, loving, fair and compassionate woman with an infectious laugh. She was always the life of the party! Her love, care, laugh, open arms, and optimism will greatly be missed by all that were blessed to know her. Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Klawans; her father, Abner D. Shellman; her mother, Ethel L. Hines; her brothers, Earl Green, Frank Green, and Moe Shellman. Bobbie Nell Shellma-Klawans was called home to Glory on the Monday afternoon of March 7, 2016. We all loved her but God loves her best.
