Milda Faye Pugh affectionately called "Mikki" by family and friends was born on May 7, 1951, in Bertram, Texas to her parents, Clarence Williams and Ellie Mason Williams. She was raised surrounded by her six brothers, Grover, Cecil, Alanzo, Larry, Melvin, Tony and her adopted sister, Barbara. As a child, Mikki loved old school race cars and watching "Cowboys." She received her formal education in Burnet, Texas. Mikki often commented about her favorite elementary teacher, Mrs. Doris Revada. She graduated from Burnet High School and she attended St. Matthew AME Church. Mikki met Willie Maxwell in Burnet, Texas. To this union, as son, Christopher Allen Williams was born. She later wed, Ronnie Pugh and to this union, a daughter, Johnnie Pugh was born. She was blessed to have a step son, Chauncey Stewart. On November 21, 2008, she adopted Domnick Blair Pugh. She was later blessed with eight grandchildren, Chanelle, Taychell, Nichelle, Da'Zahane, Te'Aira, Christopher, Qui Mani, TC and her six great grandchildren, Serenity, Aarik, Ki'Laya, Messiah, Jon'Nae and Jasiah were an additional source of joy and pride in her life. She was a lady who was all about the care and nurture of her family. They all shared many happy and precious moments together. By profession, Mikki was employed as a Child Care Provider. She was also a Foster Parent whose love for children was unconditional and never ending. She always wanted the children in her care to feel that they were loved and that they were important. So many of her foster children have stayed in contact with her over the years and have included her as a part of their family as they matured and became parents themselves. Mikki was a fun loving person who enjoyed life. In free time, she enjoyed spending quality with her family, having a Miller High Life, smoking her Salem lights and of course babysitting when needed. She was the type of person who never met a stranger and was a friend to so many. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind, wonderful and phenomenal woman. To know Mikki was to love her. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ellie; her father, Clarence; brothers, Grover, Cecil, Alanzo and Tony; grandchildren, Charmaine and Daneshia.
