Michael Wayne Wilson was born in Dallas, Texas on August 2, 1952 to his parents, Billy J. Crawford, and Donnie M Mason. He was the oldest of five children born to this union. He was raised surrounded by his brother, Kenny, and his sisters, Denise, Lisa, and LaTonya. Michael attended the Dominguez Valley Senior High School in Compton, California. Michael successfully completed high school and graduated on June 18, 1970. After graduation, on October 16, 1970, Michael enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served our country proudly. He received many awards, accolades, and promotions from being in the military, earning the rank of Sargent. On April 1, 1974, Michael was honorably discharged. Michael was the proud father of Marlin. They shared many memorable moments together. He was later blessed with three grandchildren who were an additional source of joy. Michael spent most of his time after the service living in Colorado and Texas. He worked in various job; his final position was in the electronic department at Walmart. His co-workers would consider him a man of excellence; he worked until the job was done right. Michael was a man of faith and he believed in the Lord. In August 2009, He became a member of the True Light Baptist Church in Denver, Colorado, under the leadership of Reverend Dr. William H. Golson, where he remained until his passing. Michael was a simple, yet private man. He loved taking care of his fish, watching television, and reading. He read his Bible every morning before doing anything else. Michael Wayne Wilson departed this life on May 9, 2015 in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory and to mourn his loss include, his son, Marlin (Michelle) Bell; his mother, Donnie M. Mason; his siblings, Denise Mason, Billy Jean Crawford, Kenny Leali, Lisa (Thomas) Keith, and LaTonya (Yvonne) Hughes; 3 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
