Michael Eugene Moland Sr.

In Loving Memory of Michael Eugene Moland

Michael was born on January 13, 1954, to Helen Marie Hines-Moland and Wilbon Moland in Los Angeles, California.

During his formative years, Michael attended Emerson Magnet School, where he joined the Explorers at the 77th Street Police Station. He later went on to Fremont High School. Michael remained in California until 1983, when he moved to Denver, CO for additional life opportunities. He lived between LA and Denver until the last year of his life.

Michael was a remarkable entrepreneur, known for his ability to achieve anything he set his mind to. He was a people person with a passion for Cadillacs, skating, dressing sharply, and entertaining—especially charming the ladies with his playful flirtation.

He passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on August 24, 2024, in Denver, Colorado.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Linda Moland, and Deborah Trotter and Baby Arthur. Michael is survived by his children Kellie Moland, Lannea Moland, Michael Moland Jr, and Jozlin Moland; his grandchildren; his siblings Joan Kilgore, Vera Moland, and Arthur Watkins; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will cherish his memory dearly.
