Michael Higgins

February 26, 1957 — January 5, 2019

Michael Anthony Higgins was born on February 26, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to his parents, Vinie Mae Wallace Higgins and O.B. Howard. He was raised by Howard Higgins. He was the second child born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brothers, Roy, Charles and his sister, Debra. "Buff" as he was affectionately called, enjoyed drawing pictures of airplanes which was a motivating factor to him later becoming a Pilot. He could make toys out anything which occupied his mind and influence his creativity.

Michael received his formal education while attending military school in Turkey. He was the father of two beautiful children, a son, named Saxx Williams and a daughter, named Michelle Higgins.

Michael was a man who was no stranger to working hard. He has been employed as a Contractor, a Truck Driver, and a Painter. He was hardworking, dedicated, and performed his duties with a spirit of excellence.

Michael was a fun-loving man, who enjoyed camping, rapping, and playing the saxophone. His closest friends, Sherry McFall, Jimmy, and his brother, Roy will miss the camaraderie's they all shared together; and fact that he was a true and trusted friend. They will also miss his rapping, his happiness, and him playing his music, LOUD. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful man. To know "Buff" was to love him.

Michael Anthony Higgins departed this life on January 5, 2019, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss include, his son, Saxx Williams of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his daughter, Michelle M. Higgins of Houston, Texas; his brother, Roy L. Higgins (Roshawn McClain; his sister, Debra L. McClain all of Denver, Colorado; 3 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
