Micah Jeremiah Tye was born on August 16, 1983, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Adrianna B.A. Tye and Lee Ashley. He was the second child born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brother, Christopher and he also has a brother named, Timothy. Growing up, Micah enjoyed playing with bugs, reptiles and snakes. He was very independent and industrious. He was naturally inquisitive and happy when he figured out the intricacies of an accomplished task. Micah received his formal education in Denver, Colorado where he was an 2002, graduate of George Washington High School. He furthered his education by attending the Community College of Denver. He completed course study in Computer Science and Christian Studies from Grand Canyon University. He also earned a certificate of completion in baking from the Emily Griffith School in Denver.On February 16, 2013, Micah united in holy matrimony to the former Melanie M. Marie Glass. They exchanged vows in Glendale, Arizona. They first met in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Melanie fondly remembers their honeymoon cruise. At time of Micah's passing, Melanie was pregnant and due to deliver in October. Micah was no stranger to hard work. He worked in various places of employment to include the Maricopa County Elections Department, Safeway Grocers as a Courtesy Clerk and at the time of his passing he was employed by Goodwill Industries. Wherever employed, Micah is remembered as being dependable and working well with others. A man of faith and belief in the Lord, Micah accepted the Lord as his personal savior at a very early age. He joined Now Faith Church in Denver. He later became a member of Rapture Missionary Baptist Church in Denver, the Praise City Church in Phoenix, Arizona and he last worshipped with the Emmanuel Temple Apostolic Church. He was also actively a part of Big Brothers of America. Micah was a fun-loving man who enjoyed life and those he encircled. In his free time, he enjoyed taking long walks, taking care of animals, writing and listening to poetry, listening to gospel music and reading and studying the Bible. He also enjoyed traveling, eating good food and working out. His closest friends will miss the camaraderie they all shared together and the fact that he was a true and trusted friend, who was honest and spoke his mind. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful man. To know Micah was to love him. Micah Jeremiah Tye, Sr. departed this life on April 23, 2015, in Aurora, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss include his wife, Melanie M. Tye, Laveen, AZ; his parents, Adrianna Tye, Denver, CO and Lee (Roxanne) Ashley, Scumx, TX; two brothers, Christopher Tye, Denver and Timothy Ashley, NYC, NY; one sister, Michelle Plinske Shirey, Star City, AR; his grandparents, Elder Jerome and Shirley Carey, Aurora and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and many friends.
