They’re also very proud and very charismatic.” Melvina Louise was born on August 2, 1948, the 2nd child of Jimmy Gordon and Melvina Marie Riley in Omaha Nebraska. “Louise” known by friends and family. Louise and her family moved to Denver, Colorado in 1956. She attended Denver Public Schools, graduate from East High School and later received a Bachelor degree in Music from Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado At the age of 3 yrs, Melvina Louise found her musical voice. This musical voice followed Melvina Louise through out her life, Melvina Louise performance started as a Member of Zion Baptist Church Youth Choir. As a Teen Melvina was part of a 1st Place Winners in Female Group in the Battle of the Bands. She travel with “Up With People”,”. Was the 1974 Winner of Miss Black Colorado. was Lead Singer with local band “Juva. In 1976 a great opportunity was awarded to her to expand her musical career. So Melvina Louise moved to Los Angeles. While pursuing her musical career she studied the art of acting. On January 5, 2018 Melvina Louise went home to be with her savior. Louise is loving survived by her sisters, MattieMarie, Lia, Vivian and Aunt Sally Edwards. Louise will be greatly missed by numerous relatives and friends.
