Mauricia Mildelerion Fuqua
Mauricia Mildelerion Fuqua, was born on January 2, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio. Throughout her life, Mauricia made significant contributions to her community and built lasting connections with her loved ones.
Growing up with her siblings John, Frederick, Richard, Juluis Jr. , Mary, Denise, and Aunderay fostered a sense of camaraderie within their family bond. As a child, Mauricia exhibited helpfulness and exuded an infectious spirit of fun.
Mauricia's academic journey began in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, where she attended and graduated from Glenville High School. This educational foundation paved the way for her future career endeavors and personal growth.
Her professional journey commenced as she served as a 1st U.S. Postal Service employee in Cleveland before transferring to Denver. Mauricia's commitment to her work was evident throughout her tenure at Oppenheimer, where she dedicated herself until retirement.
A woman of faith, she was a member of Rising Star Baptist Church for 17 years.
Mauricia was known for her sweet disposition, loving nature, and kindness towards others. She embraced every opportunity to nurture relationships and create treasured memories with her loved ones.
Outside of work and family life, Mauricia found joy in various hobbies and interests. She practiced yoga to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, Mauricia had an adventurous spirit that was inspired by traveling to new places. Her cherished moments were often spent in the company of family and friends who were fortunate enough to share these experiences alongside her.
Mauricia is preceded in death by her father, mother, husband, brothers (John Bell Jr. and Richard Nixon), and sister (Mary).
Mauricia will be deeply missed by her surviving family and friends, who include her survived by her siblings, Frederick Morris Lewis, Julius Nixon Jr., Aunderay Balfour, and Denise Gilliam and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Their lives were enriched by Mauricia's presence, and her absence will leave an indelible void in their hearts.
Mauricia Mildelerion Fuqua's leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Let us remember her with fondness as we celebrate the remarkable life she led.
