Mrs. Mary Louise Robinson, transitioned peacefully on Friday June 19, 2020, at The Suites Parker, in Parker, Colorado. She was 89.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the youngest child of the late Albert Gibson and the late Dora Gibson. She had one Brother, the late Albert Gibson, Jr. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Douglas High School, Class of 1948 in Webster Groves, Missouri and continued her secondary education at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO.

Mary was married to the late Joseph Ernest Robinson, Jr., for 42 years. From this union 5 Children were born; Joseph Ernest Robinson III (Toya) of Long Beach, CA, Diana Louise Walker of Sacramento, CA, Mary Demetra Robinson (Deceased) of Denver, CO, Dominic Albert Robinson (Loretta) of Parker, CO, and Stephanie Rachel Richardson of Houston, TX.

Mary joined Mountain Bell as a telephone operator in Denver, CO. She retired as a Manager at U S WEST Communications (formerly Mountain Bell and now Century Link) after 32 years of service.

Mary enjoyed gardening, social event catering, entertaining with her friends and family and computer technology. She was a longtime member of Shorter Community AME Church. While there, she served as a member of the Ira E. Slack Missionary Society, and a member of The Lady Chef's Ministry, which she Co-Founded in 1998.

She volunteered with Shorter's Food Bank, Share Colorado and served as a greeter at Sunday morning services.

Mary volunteered for Sharing and Caring Ministries-Food Bank of the Rockies for over 17 years. She was a member of the Regional Association of Colored Women, the National Association of Colored Women's Club, and the Denver Federation of Colorado Women's Club.

Mary enjoyed life and those she embraced. She was a woman of sharp wit who always spoke her mind. She will be forever remembered by her ten grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
