Mary Lutrecia Hicks, affectionately called, “Trisha” or “Trish” by her family, was born in Fort Gordon, Georgia, on August 24, 1960 to her parents Haymon and Eva Hicks-Wallin. Trisha was the seventh child born to this union. Trisha had seven brothers, Raymond, Michael, Ronald, John, Eugene, Oloyea, Lamaint, and three sisters, Delilah, Deborah, and Mairene. When Trisha was two months old, she passed away but was revived by doctors; although miraculous, Trisha incurred a lifelong learning disability. Trisha never let her disability keep her from receiving a high diploma from Thomas Jefferson High School on top of that, Trisha learned to bowl and play sports. Trisha did not have any children, but was an excellent babysitter taking care of her many nieces and nephews. Trisha worked and held various positions until becoming too ill to work. Trisha’s mother remembers her being the best housekeeper of all her children. During Trisha’s early adulthood, she loved cooking, listening to music, making music cassette tapes, and spending time with friends and family. Although later in life, Trisha suffered many ailments and pain, she never complained. Trisha just wanted to be home, in her favorite chair, watching television with her best friend and sister, Debbie Hicks, and her mother, Eva Hicks-Wallin. During Trisha’s latter years, she and Debbie relaxed in the family room watching movies, game shows, and their favorite football teams. There is no one that could say anything bad about Trisha’s attitude towards people. Trisha was kind and considerate to everyone. Trisha’s loving presence will truly be missed. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Haymon Hicks and her brother, Ronald Hicks. Mary Letrecia “Trisha” Hicks was called home to glory on the morning of August 11, 2017. She leaves to cherish memories, her parents, Donald Wallin and Eva Hicks-Wallin; her brothers, Raymond Hicks, Michael Hicks, John Hicks, Eugene Wallin, Oloyea Wallin, and Lamaint Wallin; her sisters, Delilah Hicks, Deborah Hicks, and Mairene Hicks; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives, and friends. Trisha was special to us all and loved by God
