Marcus Armstrong-Romero

May 31, 1970 — May 19, 2014

Marcus Anthony Armstrong-Romero, was born on May 31, 1970 to Earl Flanders Armstrong, Jr. and Rebecca Elaine Romero in Denver, Colorado. He was the third child born in the family. When Marcus continuated from the 6th grade he begged his mother to buy him a tuxedo because he and the homies were going to wear tuxedos to their continuation. When we arrived at his continuation Marcus was the only one wearing his tuxedo. He thought he was the man. Marcus attended Montbello High School in Denver, Colorado. On October 11, 1993 Marcus received his GED from Otero Junior College in La Junta, Colorado. Marcus never married but was blessed with three children whom he loved unconditionally, Marquea, Little Marcus and Monae'. As a child Marcus modeled; and he loved to break dance and entertain everyone. He loved making people laugh! Marcus was a jack-of-all-trades in entertainment. He was a comedian, actor, did commercials for Dr. Mike and was a salesman (especially on 4/20). Marcus was cast in a local movie called "What Goes Around." He was so excited about the movie that he tried to get everyone else a part in it. He also had a "self-appointed" music producer/manager (his young cousin Mass Prod), whom he kept in contact with on a daily basis. In 2012 Marcus became a member of New Creation Christian Fellowship. He put God first in everything he said and did. Marcus talked about God all of the time. Much of his time was spent on Facebook where he posted words of encouragement every morning. Marcus enjoyed spending time with family and friends laughing, joking and roasting people. He also made it a point to frequently go downtown and check on his "peeps." He had best friends from ages 3 and up, 4=Real Thooooooo! Marcus was a real life Robin Hood; he would rob from the rich and give to the "Triangle." Everyone who knew Marcus knew he cared about them and knew he had a heart of gold. Marcus loved people from all walks of life – he never judged anyone no matter what their life story consisted of. Marcus never gave up on a friendship. Marcus will always be remembered for his smile, charisma, dreads, his style and personality, unconditional love for everyone, his humor and sayings such as "4 real thoo" and "sayin?". On May 19, 2014, God called Marcus home, leaving behind his mother Rebecca Romero-Emerson, daughters Marquea Danielle Romero and Monae' LaShay Walker, and a son, Marcus Anthony Armstrong-Romero, Jr., brothers Earl Armstrong, T.C. Armstrong, Johnell Armstrong, Joe Sandoval, sister Easter Armstrong, and his close friend Nicole Thomas ("Paradise"). He was preceded in death by his father Earl Armstrong Jr., step-father Jesse Emerson and grandparents Ernest Romero, Earl Armstrong, Sr. and Mike Phillips.
