Maple Clemings

October 17, 1942 — December 9, 2016

Maple Lee Clemings was born on October 17, 1942, in Silsbee, Texas to her parents, Lee Bertha Guilory and Frank Hill. She was also blessed to have Columbus Boatner as a father after her mother and he were married. As a child, she is remembered as always enjoying cooking and sewing. Maple received her formal education in Denver, Colorado where she attended Manual High School. She united in holy matrimony to Henry Adolphus Clemings, Jr. To this union, a son they named Henry Adolphus Clemings, III was born. Henry, Jr. died when Henry, III was only four years old. Maple relocated to Denver and remained in the Mile Hi City until her passing. She was also the proud mother of two beautiful daughters, Sabrina "Angel" and Celita. Maple was a woman who took care in the pride and nurture of her family. She was later blessed with seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and of course her pet dog "Lucy Lee Hill"; who all were an additional source of joy and pride in her life. By profession, Maple was employed by the United States Postal Service as a Postal Clerk. She was hard working, dependable and performed her duties with as spirit of excellence. She retired after many years of faithful and dedicated service. Maple was a fun-loving woman, who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, her greatest joy was found spending quality time with family. Her closest friend, Delores Wilson will miss the camaraderie's they shared together and the fact that she was a true and trusted friend. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful lady. To know Maple was to love her. Maple Lee Clemings departed this life on Friday, December 9, 2016, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include her son, Henry A. (LaTonya) Clemings, III of Stockton, California; 2 daughters, Sabrina L. Allen of Merryville, LA and Celita L. Hill of Denver; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends.
