Lu Vason, entertainment leader known for promoting and managing significant artists and performers and founder of the Bill Pickett Rodeo; quietly departed this life on May 17, 2015. He is survived by his devoted wife, Valeria Howard Vason, Centennial; his children, Elder Corey (Sheri) Vason, Seattle, WA, Lashelle "Yetunda" Roy, Washington, DC, Evangelist Sherry (Cedric) Lea, Martinez, CA, Brianna (Teron) Coleman, LA, CA, Karese Young, Oakland, CA, Ralph (Rena) Young, Lithonia, GA and Shelly Robinson, Antioch, CA; one sister, Irma Jean Vason Morrison, Pensacola, FL; 15 grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many, many friends. Visitation Thursday, 4:30-6:03pm with Remarks of Remembrance 6:04pm - 8:04pm, Pipkin Braswell Chapel of Peace; Celebration of Life on Friday at 11:39am, Shorter Community AME Church 3100 Richard Allen Court to conclude.
