Lorenzo Stewart entered this life on April 27, 1938 to Earl and Vivian Malone in Dallas, Texas. Lorenzo was the second child and the first son in a family of seven children.
At a young age Lorenzo attended his family church, Mount Horem Baptist Church, where they would worship and praise God as a family. We believe that a family that prays together… stays together!
Lorenzo graduated from Lincoln High School in 1956. In 1957 he moved to Los Angeles, Ca. where he resided for 51 years. While in Los Angeles, he was gainfully employed as a Butcher, providing a valued service for the community in which he lived and loved.
In 2008 he moved to Aurora, Colorado to be with his sisters Gladys Williams and Marcelous Harding. Both of his sisters and family welcomed him with open arms. Lorenzo loved being around his family.
In 2019 he moved to Frontier Valley, Independent living where he lived for 4.5 years speaking fondly of his new friends and the friendly staff that made him feel at home. Lorenzo loved drawing, watching movies and listening to music.
Lorenzo was loved and will be greatly missed by all. He is preceded in death by his sister Ardella Penny and brother Bruce Malone. Lorenzo is survived by his sisters Gladys Williams, Marcelous(Maurice) Harding both of Aurora, Co. Sister Zelma Malone of Garland, Tx., Brother Joseph(Percy)Malone of Dallas, Tx. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Lorenzo my Big Brother...
You showed me a lot of things, I learned a lot I didn’t know,
But you forgot to teach me one last thing, how to let you go.
I know you didn’t mean to leave me, sometimes we have no choice.
I miss being your little sister, hearing my name called by your voice.
I wish I got to say “ I love you”, before you were given to the sky,
If God could grant me one last wish, I’d like to say “Goodbye”.
You always meant a lot to me, I could never love you less.
I know it’s true when they say, He only takes his Best!!
With all my heart, your baby Sis,
Marcellous Harding
