Linda Sue Favors was born on March 31, 1949 in Temple, Texas to the union of Tom Author Harris and Doris Nell Trusdale–Harris. Linda was the second of seven children born into the family. She was raised surrounded by her two brothers, Rickey and Jackie, and her four sisters, Joyce, Carol, Sheila and Pam. As a child, spite the fact that she was not the oldest sibling; her entire family fondly remembers how she used her bossy and dominate spirit, to take charge of every situation. Linda received her formal education in Temple, Texas. In 1959, the family relocated to Denver, Colorado where Linda became the proud graduate of Denver's East High School in 1967. Linda met Willie Louis Favors while in high school and just one year after graduating, in April of 1968, Linda and Willie united in holy matrimony. To this union, one child was born, Wade Lindsay Favors. The marriage was later dissolved. As a child, Wade and his best friend Damon Morgan fondly remember waking up to Linda's world famous lumpy oatmeal or chunky Cream of Wheat and hearing her say, "It is good….JUST EAT IT!" Linda was employed at Mountain Bell Telephone Company as a Communications Specialist. Her co-workers remember her as a dedicated and hard worker. Although Linda enjoyed her job, she retired her position at Mountain Bell because she found a greater passion. She provided the needed care and support for her mother. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, having a choice beverage and enveloping everyone with her vibrant behavior and out spoken words. She was a great, bold woman. Her wit, spontaneous conversation, enjoyment of music and dancing will be remembered by all who know this one of a kind woman. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Tom Author Harris; her sisters, Joyce Harris, Carol Harris and Sheila Harris. The sun set on the life of Linda Sue Favors on December 7, 2014, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include her son, Wade Lindsay Favors, Aurora, CO; her mother, Doris Nell Harris, Denver, CO; two brothers, Rickey (Ramona) Harris and Jackie (Bridgette) Harris; and one sister, Pamela Harris, all of Denver, Colorado; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
