Lillie Fitch

January 17, 1940 — June 25, 2015

Lillie Bell Fitch was born on January 17, 1940, to the blessed home of Henry Turner and Isabella Miles James in Butler, Alabama. She grew up surrounded by the love of her brothers, Jessie, Willie, and Henry, Jr., and her sisters, Rosie, Beulah, Ruby, Minnie, Doretha, Lula, and Mary Alice. She attended school in the Butler public school system and graduated from Choctaw County High School. Lillie was united in marriage to Charlie Ed Fitch on May 23, 1957, to this marriage, three children were born, Eddie Charles, Michael and Shelia; Lillie was loved by her family. Lillie recently retired in January 2014, from the King Baptist Day Care where she was employed professionally as a cook for over 30 years. Many of the children who are now adults have expressed how much they loved her grits. She also showed her love and affection through disciplining the kids, and for that, they are better people. A woman with a lifelong faith in the Lord, Lillie was a member of King Baptist Church for over 40 years, where she served in many different ministries. Her passion was singing, and she sung in the mission choir and was a faithful member of the mass choir where she served as President. Lillie loved life. She enjoyed friends and family stopping by for a visit as she would cook a traditional southern style meal, she also loved gardening, listening to music, and of course let's not forget, she loved her some Denver Broncos Football Team!!! She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Ed Fitch; her son, Eddie Charles Fitch; her parents, Henry Turner and Isabella Miles James, her brothers, Jessie James, Henry James, Jr. her sisters Rosie Houston, Beulah Larkin, Doretha Fields, and Mary Alice Hampton. On June 25, 2015, the Lord called his precious child home to be with him in Glory. Lillie Fitch will truly be missed.
