Leonard Rogers was born January 13, 1984 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He entered eternal life on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at the age of 38. Leonard leaves to cherish his mother, Karen Rogers-Blazio, her husband Troy Blazio and his father Samuel Rogers Sr., his wife Mary Rogers. His grandparents, Charles and Miriam Vall, Mae Etta Franklin and Leonard Batiste, precede Leonard in death.
His two sons, Leonard “Sonny” Antonio Rogers and Uzziah “Mikey” Rogers, his daughter Leon’Ermi Jean Antoinette Rogers and companion Ermisha Carter mother of his daughter and her son Troy Nash and Alizza Chanel mother of his sons, survive Leonard. He also leaves his siblings, Shawanda Monique Rogers and Samuel Rogers Jr. his aunts and uncles, Alma Jean Franklin and Joycelyn Franklin-Lewis, Shalita and Tyrone Bowman, Lisa and Joseph Phillips, John Rogers, Trudy Rogers and the late Michael Rogers Sr., along with a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, and other aunts and uncles
Leonard graduated from John McDonald Sr. High School and was a Mechanical Engineer in the United States Army where he served two tours in Iraq. He loved family, children and life. He had a BIG HEART, an amazing spirit, was humble, and always willing to lend an ear, hand, shoulder; or whatever it called for. Leonard would help the world if he could.
