Lawrence Earl Bolden was born September 22nd, 1961 in Denver, Colorado to Edsel and Lynnell Bolden. He was the 2nd of two children.
Lawrence attended Smith and Teller elementary schools in the Denver Public School system. Lawrence lived in Oklahoma for two years where he attended Shawnee Middle School. He played Junior Varsity basketball while attending Shawnee Middle School. He completed his education in Denver Public Schools; where he attended Hill, John F. Kennedy, and George Washington High School. He ran track while in high school. Lawrence graduated from George Washington High School in 1979.
After graduating from high school, Lawrence attended Metropolitan State College. Also, he began working for United Parcel Service. Initially, he worked as a clerk. Eventually, he became a driver. He worked for UPS for 38years, retiring in January 2020.
During his free time, Lawrence enjoyed playing cards, fishing, concerts, and movies. He enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends.
On October 18th, 2020 Lawrence was called home to be with the Lord.
Lawrence is survived by his father and stepmother; Edsel and Gwen Bolden, his mother, Lynnell Harkins; his sister, Lavonne Price; his niece and nephew, Francesca and Wesley Price; his great niece Paetyn Jackson; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Your life was a blessing. Your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. In life, we loved you dearly. In death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else will ever fill.
