Lashonda Wiley

July 14, 1976 — November 13, 2016

LaShonda Denise Wiley was born July 14, 1976 to Linda Wiley and Australia Hobbs she was a beautiful baby and was very smart her Uncle James had her climbing the stairs in the house on Clarkson street before she was 6 months old. She loved her Grandmother Mada and Aunt Punkin who helped Linda raise and nature LaShonda along with the whole family. LaShonda attended Whittier/Ashley Elementary in Denver, Colorado she loved going to school and didn't like to miss a day. She made good grades and would love to tell you about them. She loved reading to you even when she couldn't read she was very creative and had a great imagination. LaShonda attended Morey/Smiley Middle School where she continued to be a great student. She graduated from George Washington High School in 1994. While at George Washington LaShonda played basketball. After graduation she worked as a CNA and attended Nursing School. She worked with Alzhemier patients and she was very passionate about the job and this was her motivation to become a nurse. Later in life she changed her career goal and was taking business classes she worked as an executive/adminstative assistant at Open Door Ministries she loved working here and met a lot of wonderful friends. LaShonda realized that her life didn't always go the way she planned, what we all admired about her is the way she would just dust herself off and keep it moving. LaShonda met and married Eliab Matanari and they lived separate lives but remained married and co-parents to their son Dereion. LaShonda's pride and joy were her three beautiful children Laiveon, Dereion and Anieyaa she struggled as parents do. If she could've given them the world she would've. What she did give them was all the love a mother can give a child. LaShonda loved her family and she loved her mom Linda Wiley their relationship took a lot of work but it was based on unconditional love. Her little brother Allen "Lil' Bubba" Witherspoon was her rock and he kept her sane she loved and respected him. She loved to brag about him because she was proud of him as her brother and as a great person who loved her no matter what. LaShonda loved to cook and invite her family and friends over for food and fun. She thought she made the best spaghetti in the world, we all must admit she was a good cook. LaShonda recently had decided that she wanted to move to Texas and was working on making it a goal for 2017. She wanted to spend time traveling the United States and other countries with her family and friends. Looking back now we all wish we would've been able to travel with her. LaShonda loved the Colorado mountains and outdoors. She would put her kids in the car and drive to admire the beauty of nature. She loved taking them to the park. We loved LaShonda through it all. We will miss her great smile. REST LASHONDA UNTIL THE GREAT RESURRECTION. LaShonda leaves to mourn and cherish her memories her parents Linda D.Wiley and Australia Hobbs her brother Allen "Lil' Bubba" Witherspoon four half brothers and sisters.
