Lashaunda Haynes

August 11, 1982 — November 22, 2022

Denver, CO

LaShaunda Lynnette Haynes was born on August 11, 1982, to her parents, Jewel Sheffield and Ronald Haynes in Aurora, Colorado. She was the first child born in the family and was raised with her siblings, Antony, Malachi and Rachael.

As a child, LaShaunda had speedy feet, always wanting to run to her destination. Her family required her to backtrack and try again by walking instead. She naturally moved with a sense of urgency. LaShaunda loved to dance, she constantly learned new moves and could recite them when music videos came on.

LaShaunda was not shy to express how she felt. Growing up, she hated her Charlie Brown shoes, did not enjoy doing dishes. She learned how to work the system, supplementing other work so that her brother, Antony would have to do the dishes instead.

She was educated through Denver Public Schools where she attended George Washington High School. She graduated in 2000. Following High School, she attended the Art Institute of Atlanta where she experienced beneficial diversity.

LaShuanda was an entrepreneur, who started her own company called Artisan Noir. She was a very talented Artist and Clairvoyant who continued to have great success.

In her free time, she enjoyed drawing, painting, talking on the phone and taking all of the kids out to swim and spend the night. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with family. Those who know her best know that she loved saying “Hey Heffa” when she called your name. She will truly be missed.

Preceded in death by great grandparents, Ernest and Mercedes Sheffield, grandmother, Melinda Haynes, and aunt, Jackie Davis.
