LaSaundra "Sandy" Karrol Borne

Our world received a true gift, when LaSaundra "Sandy" Karrol Borne, came into this world on September 14, 1968, in Denver, Colorado, to her parents, Hubert Smith, Jr., and Jacqueline Smith.

She was a proud graduate of Montbello High School, where she participated in Track and Field. LaSaundra received two full-ride scholarships, to both, Northeastern Junior College and CSU. She attended CSU, where she still remains listed on the ‘Top 20 Performers' list for Outdoor Track and Field.

LaSaundra was known for her unwavering faith and strength. She confessed her love for Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, while a Member of New Hope Baptist Church.

In 1992, she united in marriage with Randall Borne, and was later blessed with a healthy baby girl, whom she named, Larissa Renae Borne.

Sandy developed a strong, rewarding, and successful career in Information Technology (IT), as an Analyst for major corporations. During her career, she often traveled throughout the U.S. and outside of the country, including Singapore, Hong Kong, and India. Her Managers and Colleagues knew her to be incredibly hard working, determined, reliable, and a true, honest teammate.

Sandy loved to sing, watch action movies, especially those involving martial arts, and valued time together with close friends and family. She was an incredible mother, who loved her daughter beyond time and measure, and did any and everything she could to make it known that her daughter was her number one priority.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Smith, Jr. and Jacqueline Smith; and her sister, Tara Morris (Tim). She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving daughter, Larissa R. Borne; her brother, Christopher Smith (Deborah); her devoted friends, Saundra Miller (Stan), Marcus Hickman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
