Larry enlisted in the United States Army. He served with honor and was honorably discharged. Larry met Julie Cannon in Denver, Colorado and on September 11, 1988, they married. Larry and Julie raised their amazing son, Kenneth, together with love and with great joy. By profession, Larry was a Chef. He worked in several of the local restaurants. He loved what he was doing and was always mindful that presentation was just as important as preparation. He worked well with his co-workers and supervisors. A man of faith and belief in the Lord, Larry worshiped at both Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church and Unity COGIC. He truly believed in the power of prayer and that everyone needed to have the right relationship with the Lord. Larry was a fun loving man who enjoyed life and those he encircled. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, singing, dancing, cooking and spending quality time with family and friends. He was a man who didn't mind babysitting, cleaning or going to the grocery store. Larry had a special bond with his nephew, Ja'Lynn Yorks, they shared quality time and precious moments together. His closest friends, Wayne Yorks, and Willie Guyton will miss the comraderies they shared together and the fact that Larry was a true and trusted friend.
