Larry Hale, Sr.

October 31, 1952 — June 2, 2014

Larry Franklin Hale, Sr. was introduced to this world on October 31, 1952. Larry was born in Denver, CO to Daisy Rodgers-Hale and Moses Hale, Jr. Larry was the third of six children. Larry was raised alongside his brothers and sisters Gary, Manuel, Judy (deceased), Kathy and Camay. Larry grew up in East Denver and attended Whittier Elementary, Morey Middle School and East High School where he excelled and established lifelong friendships. After high school, Larry went on to work for Burlington Railroad Services and was blessed with the love of his life, Janette Warren-Hale. The two would become inseparable. Larry was sweetly known as Janette's "hunny bunny". From their union, they were blessed with two children; Larry F. Hale, Jr. and Aiesha Q. Hale. Larry and Janette were joined in holy matrimony on June 6, 2000. Later in life, Larry, Sr. was blessed with three grandsons; Larry F. Hale, III (LaT're), Jaiden E. Hale and Quion M. Welch, whom he affectionately referred to as "Mr. President". He also has a granddaughter, Meisha Renea Hale. Being a father & grandfather was one of Larry's biggest joys. Larry's smooth sense of humor and style of dress would only be the tip of the iceberg when describing his many attributes. Always wearing a warm smile and ready to greet people with a firm handshake, Larry was described as "the coolest dude" by his children, nieces and nephews. Larry stayed up to date with the latest music, movies and fashion. Larry especially loved jazz and playing chess. His intelligence and compassion for others kept him connected to world events, politics and news. Always the debater, Larry would spend free time conversing with his brothers and friends often at Sunday dinner. No matter what the topic, these conversations would later become treasured memories. Larry continues to be a blessing in the hearts and lives of so many. Larry held a few titles of employment throughout his lifetime including a wide range of upscale culinary supervisory positions within the Denver Metro area. His remarkable people skills and adaptive personality also enabled him to efficiently supervise large groups in the Adams and Arapahoe County Correction systems. On June 2, 2014, Larry F. Hale, Sr. departed from his loved ones and is now resting with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His most significant eternal presence with God will be shared alongside his father Moses Hale, Jr., his mother Daisy Hale and eldest sister Judy Hale. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Janette Warren-Hale; two children, Larry F. Hale, Jr. and Aiesha Q. Hale; four grandchildren Larry F. Hale, III (LaT're), Jaiden E. Hale, Quion M.
