Kilyn E. Lewis, born on March 18, 1987, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, LaRonda Jones and Robert Lewis Jr. He was raised with his siblings, Kiawa, Keyair, KeyRon, Jonathan, Kieshia, LaRonda “Moosh” and LaKyla.
As a child, Kilyn loved riding his bike, camping, fishing and taking things apart, he received a boombox one Christmas that he took the speakers out of and connected them to his bike. Those who knew him would say that he always kept the “beats” with his bicycle. In addition, Kilyn enjoyed spending time with his stepdad. One day, Kilyn and Keyair came running to the house and Kilyn yelled “Dad! Dad! The cow talked to us." His grandfather said "What did he say?" Kilyn replied "He said 'hey little boy'," and Keyair said "It talk to me too" and the grandfather asked, "What did it say to you?" Keyair replied, "It said 'moo'." Their grandfather asked, "What did you do?" Keyair said "we moved out the way" everybody busted out laughing.
Kilyn was educated through Denver Public Schools where he was educated at Montbello High School. Kilyn was a natural entrepreneur who found ways to provide for his family. He entered stereo installation industry and excelled at his craft.
Kilyn met a young lady by the name of Anndrec through mutual friends and they were joined in holy matrimony on March 29, 2016. Anndrec recalls that Kilyn taught her how to fish and helped her to develop a relationship with the Lord. Early in their relationship they began reading the bible together. In their free time, they enjoyed late nights riding around listening to their favorite old school music and Kilyn loved to sing to her. Prior to marriage Kilyn Jr. was born. His son fondly recalls them listening to music together and talking about their favorite rappers including, Lil Boosie, Tupac, and Eazy-E. They also carried the family tradition of going on fishing trips. In his free time, Kilyn enjoyed hanging out with family, joking around, playing video games and detailing cars. He also enjoyed hanging out with his friends, Cody Seagraves, Seyton Holiday, Daveon Young, Sonsharay Monroe and Elisha Weiss.
He will be remembered by his friends for being a family man, a protector, loyal, giving, funny, life of the party and for his beats.
Kilyn will be dearly missed by his surviving family and friends, including his wife, Anndrec Lewis; children, Kilyn Jr. and King Ki; mother, LaRonda Jones; brothers, Kiawa Lewis, Keyair Lewis, Jonathon Grundy, and Lazarius Lewis; sisters, Kieshia Lewis, LaRonda Grundy and LaKyla Grundy; grandmothers, Curlie Correa and Sherdina Lewis.
During this time of loss, we also remember Kilyn's deceased brother KeyRon Lewis who shared a special bond with him.
Kilyn E. Lewis touched many lives with his kindness and dedication. May his legacy live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
