KeyRon Shamar (Key$au$e Da Bo$$) Lewis was the 4th born child of LaRonda Jones and Robert Lewis, Jr., on March 18th, 1991, in Denver, Colorado. KeyRon grew up with his brothers, Kiawa, Kilyn, Keyair, Jonathon, and Lazareus, and sisters, Kieshia, LaRonda, and LaKyla. As a child, his siblings remember the prankster he was and his fear of nothing. They still laugh at the time when he brought a snake in the house and bit the head off a grasshopper. Although he grew up in Denver, KeyRon spent a year in Arkansas with his extended family. The experiences gained were life changing. It was during this time that he learned of his love of the outdoors, animals, and fishing. He also spent valuable and memorable times with his uncle Ric in Atlanta during that year.
KeyRon matriculated through the Denver Public School system. He entered Denver Prep in 2006 and graduated with his GED in 2011. He played football and was a beast on the football field. He received an award for Best Defensive Lineman. He enjoyed hanging with his friends, playing sports, playing on his PS5, going to the gun range, fixing his car, listening to Boosie and of course…..EATING! Whenever you couldn’t find KeyRon, all you had to do was look in his favorite hiding place, under his grandmother’s kitchen table with his hands and cheeks full of food. The mighty hog grain strikes again!!! KeyRon had a great sense of humor and he loved playing jokes on people. As a child, he was involved in church and Rec Center plays. He later maintained his position as a forklift/driver operator for many years.
KeyRon became a father at the age 19 and he embraced his role of fatherhood with pride, compassion, and elegance. His beautiful baby girl, Za’Naeveonna Lewis was his entire world, he loved her more than anything. KeyRon was engaged to his childhood sweetheart, Le’Che Reeves and he was blessed to inherit three bonus children, Rakiye, Zy’Kari, and Khamani who he loved as if they were his own flesh and blood. Throughout KeyRon and LeChe’s childhood and young adulthood, they shared many first-time experiences. Le’Che remembers the first time KeyRon flew on an airplane. He had a tough exterior but as soon as the plane hit some turbulence, all that “toughness” flew out the window and prayers started going up. Then he had the nerve to act as if nothing had happened once, they stepped off the plane. He said, “It wasn’t even that bad.” His friends, Cody Seagraves, Tim Shackelford, and Daveon Young will always remember how loyal he was. He was always there for them, day or night. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. “Wipe Me Down”
KeyRon Shamar Lewis embraced his Heavenly Father on March 30th, 2022. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, LaRonda Jones; fiancé, Le’Che Reeves; daughter, Za’Naevonna Lewis; brothers, Kiawa Lewis, Kilyn Lewis, Keyair Lewis, Jonathon Grundy, and Lazareus Lewis; sisters, Kieshia Lewis, LaRonda Grundy, and LaKyla Grundy; grandmothers, Curlie Correa and Sherdina Lewis; 3 bonus children, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
