Kathryn Marie Shaw was Born on February 13, 1933 in Alliance, Nebraska to her parents, Henry Clay King, and Georgia Mae Forrest. She graduated from Lincoln High School, Lincoln, Nebraska in June 1951. Kathryn was united in marriage to Jeffie L. Williams, in 1954, to this union, six children were born. Kathryn’s ability to be a loving mother and companion during times of adversity is a major achievement. Jeffie L. Williams passed away in November of 1985. She later met and married William A. Shaw, Jr on August 22, 1986, prior to, and during this marriage, Kathryn was involving in numerous professions - Health care in Lincoln, Nebraska, Accounting Clerk with the U.S. Government at Lowry Air Force Base, Nurse’s Aide at the Alzheimer’s Treatment and Research Center in Denver and a Certified Nurse’s Aide throughout the Denver area. Kathryn excelled in the Performance of her duties as evidenced by numerous accolades. She gave her “all” in everything and was greatly appreciated by her many associates. Kathryn was a proud Lady. She enjoyed dressing up, going to dinner and visiting friends, and relatives of when there were many she will be remembered as one of class and dignity. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she would prepare throughout the year for it. She would arrange a scenic Christmas view on tables in the living room. She loved bears and dolls and would dress them up in Christmas attire and place them in select places around the room, it was a lovely sight. Christmas dinner was a great celebration of family and friends having a wonderful time because of illness we were unable to continue after 2015. Memories will linger. Kathryn was a member of East Alameda Church of Christ and attended church regularly. She would hold “Court” every Sunday morning prior to service and thoroughly enjoyed it. Occasionally we would have to clear the isle to let parishioners go through. Kathryn departed this life on November 22, 2017 after a long illness. Those left to mourn her loss are her husband, William A Shaw, Jr.; five children, Jeffrey Williams, Rico Williams, Veronica Moore, Tracy Williams, and Byron Williams; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She will always be remembered.
