Kalisea Wills

December 1, 1959 — March 31, 2015

Kalisea Orsorer-Wills was born December 1, 1958 to her parents, Joe Sanders and Luella Callahan. She was the third of five children born to this union. Her siblings included, Michael, Bernard, Doug, and Donna. Kalisea received her formal education from Denver Public Schools and the Community College of Denver. She met and married her husband, Andre Wills of Denver in August of 1977. To this union, two children were born, Andre, Jr. and Vonita. Vonita remembers her mother as being very intelligent, funny, and fun to be around. She was very supportive, and always tried to make sure that she was available to assist her children and grandchildren. Kalisea's favorite scripture was Psalm 105. O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore. Psalm 105: 1-4 KJV Kalisea was later blessed with four wonderful grandchildren. They recall their grandmother as being very sweet, giving, loving, and thoughtful. They added a tremendous amount of love and joy to her life. Kalisea worked in the medical field for over twenty years as a Certified Nursing Assistant and LPN. Kalisea was known by her co-workers as a hard worker who was considerate of others, inspirational, and strong willed. Kalisea was a devoted member of Bethel Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Maurice Broadnax. Kalisea served as an usher and in any other capacity that was needed in the Lord's house. She loved singing, going to church, shopping, and especially doing what she could for her family. She was surrounded by many friends; however, she found comfort in the fellowship of her best friend, Cherlyn Haliburton, who states that "Kalisea was a strong willed women who was always an inspiration to others and found herself always thinking of others." She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Kalisea Orsorer-Wills departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on March 31, 2015 in Denver, Colorado. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Andre Wills Jr., Vonita (Ossie)Harris; her mother, Luella Callahan; her sister, Donna Simmons; her brother, Michael Simmons; her grandchildren, Xavier Easter, Caleb Harris, Joshua Harris, and Katelyn Harris; her best friend, Cherlyn Haliburton, and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
