Joyce Grays

October 15, 1943 — June 25, 2017

Life Reflections Joyce Bertha Ragsdale Grays came into this world on October 5, 1943, in Roswell, New Mexico. Joyce was the 10th child of ten children born to Ezell Ragsdale and Violet Smith Ragsdale. Joyce was educated in Roswell, New Mexico. After she graduated from high school, Joyce attended college in Houston, Texas. Joyce lived in California during her early twenties; she would move to Denver, Colorado and soon after she marries Leon Grays, who preceded her in death on December 14, 2000. Joyce loved children. She had a chance to share her creative skills as a teacher’s assistant for early childhood students in New Mexico. Joyce was an amazing and gifted seamstress and artist whose talents came natural; she was able to sketch a picture of an outfit, and draw her own pattern, then sew the outfit in a matter of hours. Joyce enjoyed traveling and meeting people. She had a deep abounding love for God and was passionate about family and family gatherings. Joyce will be sorely missed. On Sunday, June 25, 2017, Joyce Bertha Ragsdale-Grays was lovingly summoned home in Greeley, Colorado. She leaves to cherish and celebrate her memory, her loving dedicated brothers; Ozen Ragsdale, Preston Ragsdale of Denver, Ezell Ragsdale, Jr. of Seattle, WA; her devoted sister, Lillian Ragsdale of Baltimore, MD, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Earth Angel Gone Home One day an angel was sent to us; only to stay for a little while. She was brought to bring happiness into our lives, and when we were down to make us smile. When an angel comes down to earth, you never want to let them go because they’re so special and precious to us. But when God says come home my child, we shouldn’t make a fuss. We all love and will miss this angel dearly, with heart felt love which we all show clearly. But we all know with Christ in her life she was never alone, our earthly Angel’s gone home.
