In Loving Memory Of
Joseph Maxie Fraylon
It is written that when life begins it is like an open book with many blank pages; each day that we live our deeds are recorded page by page until we close our eyes in death and await that great getting up
Morning.
The pages of this book began for Joseph Maxie Fraylon on June 19, 1947, Charlotte, North Carolina. He was the first born of eight children, born to the union of Minister Joseph M. Fraylon Sr. and Imeadow Fraylon.
Joseph received his formal education in the North Carolina Public School System, graduating from Second Ward High School, Charlotte-Mecklenburg School on June 2, 1965.
On May 18, 1966, Joseph decided to join the United States Army, rather than being drafted, he wanted to choose which Military he wanted to serve. While in the Army, Private Joseph M. Fraylon, received his diploma for Communication Center Specialist from U.S. Army Southeastern Signal School, in Fort Gordon, Georgia, on November 10, 1966.
Joseph was later stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado, where he attended college at Southern Colorado State College and received his certification in Data Processing, on April 18, 1969. He served as a Clerk and Telemetry while serving in the United States Army, until he was Honorably Discharged, May 16, 1969.
After Joseph was Honorably Discharged from the Army he worked for Samsonite from 1970-1979 and in 1980, he worked for Coors Brewery Company and was recognized and received appreciation for his services over twenty-seven years.
Joseph later retired from Coors Brewery Company and moved to Florida to be closer to his son, Jason Craft. He was very proud of his son graduating from Colorado State University, and later was able to attend his son's games with the Jaguars, New Orleans Saint and St. Louis Rams. Yelling from the stands and seeing Jason on the big screen was an exciting moment in his life.
Joseph loved spending time with his grandkids and going to their games. He enjoyed taking care of his fish, raising his pigeons, , road trip, traveling, going out to eat, cooking, eating, having holiday dinners with family, and oh by the way, did I mention eating!!!!! Joseph was also a Star Wars fan and he loved going to the movies. He was the type of person that always had a smile on his face, gave you encouragement, recognize the goodness in you and did not have a problem reminding you of the things that you have accomplished and to not be hard on yourself.
On November 28, 2019, Joseph had dinner with his family for the last time, saying how happy he was to spend Thanksgiving with his family and he ate Thanksgiving Feast like he never did before. Talking with everyone, watching everyone play games and even took a nap.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father Minister Joseph M. Fraylon Sr. and his mother, Imeadow Fraylon.
Our family is held together by bond. We are alike yet we are unalike, and somehow, we find comfort and peace in our differences. Family is family and we can't choose who shares our bloodline and all together we are still One. Every second spent with our family is priceless, for the love of a family is life's greatest blessing.
The love between us will always be strong. Don't cry for me because I have my mother and father to welcome me home.
The final pages of David's book were written on Saturday, November 30, 2019. He leaves to cherish his memory, son, Jason (Carthy) Craft of Castle Rock, Colorado; his sister, Deborah Fraylon of Charlotte, North Carolina; Kenneth Fraylon, Reginald Fraylon, Gerald Fraylon, Harry Fraylon, Albert Fraylon, and Gregory Fraylon all of Charlotte, North Carolina; his grandchildren, Javier Craft, Samia Craft, Saniya Craft, Jeremiah Craft, Jesiah Craft, Sir Craft and Majesty Craft all of Castle Rock, Colorado; his stepchildren, Mack Craft IV and LaShawnda (Bobby) Dixon all of Denver, Colorado; his extended family Anthony and Rose Webb, Wellington M.
