Jonathon Parker

January 20, 1928 — December 19, 2015

John "Jonathon/JP" Whalon Parker, passed away at the age of 87, on December 19, 2015 at Collier Hospice Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado and was surrounded in love by family members. Jonathon was born on January 20, 1928 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Jesse Whalon Parker and Jurrushia Manning. Jonathon followed his passion and pursued a lifelong career in theatre beginning at the Bonfils Theatre. He was the Facilities Manager at the University of Denver's Newman Center for Performing Arts, the Lamont School of Music, and was the Manager and Professor of the former Colorado Women's College Houston Fine Arts Center that spanned for 40 years. JP was the first Technical Director for his daughter's company, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance. He leaves behind: his wife, Reina Parker and 2 children Samantha Parker and Nicholas Parker. His former wife Martha Mae Roberts (deceased) and their 4 children Cleo Parker-Robinson, John Whalon Parker Jr. (deceased), Leslie Sue Parker-Wallace, Wrandell B. Parker, and two foster children, Preston and Philip Lowe. Fannye Wade, mother of son, Maurice Warfield and a host of other family, friends and loved ones. In Memory of Jonathon "JP" Parker and in lieu of flowers, a "GoFundMe.com/JP Memorial Fund" website is being set up for donations to help defray family expenses which includes, post-high school education for his two youngest children.
