John Wallace West

John Wallace West was born on September 25, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan to Alberta W. Jenkins and Bob Jenkins. He was raised with his siblings, Clifton Clay, Marilyn Brewer and Christine Robinson.

John met Nathala Cannon at Shiloh Baptist Church in Denver, Colorado, they were later joined in holy matrimony at his mothers house in November of 1965. To this union, Brenda and Linda were born. This marriage was later dissolved. He then met Florida Daniels in Los Angeles, California, and to this union, Cicely Davis was born. He later met Linda Watkins in 1991 and the couple remained together until his passing.

Throughout his career, John served as a dedicated Facility Engineer Supervisor for the Cherry Creek Schools district. His commitment to his work were evident in every project he undertook. Colleagues admired him for his skills and attention to detail. John's leadership qualities made him highly respected among his peers.

Outside of work, John was known to have strong values. He approached life with discipline and instilled these principles in those around him. 

John found joy in spending time with his family and took pride in being a loving father and grandfather. He was known to his grandchildren as West and was supportive to them as they grew older.

Nothing brought him more happiness than moments shared with loved ones. When not enjoying quality time with family, he could often be found riding his bike or embarking on trips to California and Chicago. Traveling allowed him to explore new places and create cherished memories.

John West is survived by his 4 children, Brenda, Linda, Cicely and Velveeta, 18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

John's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him. The integrity he upheld his entire life was a testament to the remarkable man he was. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
