The life of John Anthony "Tony" Higgins began on November 25, 1968, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Johnny Higgins and Carol Martin. He was the first of two born to this union. Tony 's mother passed when he was very young, so he and his brother, Joey were raised by their Aunt Sherrie and Uncle James. As a child, Tony loved to eat and play sports. Tony also loved to play with his vibrating football game. He liked to play football with his neighbor friends and cousins. His childhood friends, Patrick Staten, Delbert Butcher, Jimmy Stewart and the late Erick Thomas all attended Thomas Jefferson High School together and graduated in 1987. Tony will be best remembered by his friends, as a true definition of a friend, he was always there for you no matter what you were going through. In Tony's free time, he really loved to guide the youth in the right direction. He was huge supporter of everyone. He loved to sit and watch his favorite football team the San Diego Chargers, it didn't matter that the rest of the family were Denver Bronco fans. "Everyone knows how he loved to sit around and talked about them Broncos." Joey was always on Tony's heart. He knew the issues his brother, Joey, faced. He was committed to working diligently in prayer in hopes that Joey would soon see a better day. In 1991, Tony met his true love, Angie Epperson. They met at Angie's Aunt Karen's house while getting ready for a party. Tony contacted Angie's cousin, Harley King, asking if he could talk to Angie. He contacted her and really got to know the family. Tony then realize that Angie was his "Number One Queen" and he proposed marriage to her in 1992. On August 13, 1995, Tony and Angie said there wedding vows. Shortly after, they decided to make a CD about the love they shared in their marriage, when he proposed to her for their second wedding in the eyes of the Lord, which united the families as one. When Tony and Angie did anything together, they would pound their fists like the Wonder Twins and say "Wonder Twin Power, Activate!" Tony loved to be with his family and throw Bar-B-Que parties to bring his family closer to him. For some time, Tony and Angie tried to have a child of their own; however, they were blessed with their first godchild, Will, in December of 1992, and six more would follow: Nesselle, Meske, Autumn, Keiva, Kalanie and Keivan. They also cared for two cousins, Tiffany, and Tasha. They loved the kids so much, they took them on family outings, and had overnight family fun. Tony still longed to have a child with his lovely wife, Angie. God blessed them both with a loving little boy, on January 22, 2013, when Mr. Sir Anthony was born. Sir was the breath of fresh air Tony needed continue living life to the fullest with all of the children. Sir gave him the joy that was missing for years. All the kids took Sir in with no problem saying, "they will let him know what a wonderful loving man Tony was." Tony will be missed and loved by all who knew him. Blue and yellow ran threw his veins, a true chargers fan. But most of all, He was a loving husband, friend, brother, father, and a true family man to his heart and soul!!!
