Joe Strock, Jr.

Joe Eloy Strock, Jr. was born on November 7, 1970, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Joe Eloy Strock, Sr. and Helen Herrera. He was the first born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his sisters, Dominique and Krystle. As a child, he enjoyed watching television, playing with his friends, and listening to music. He loved to draw and became quite an accomplished artist. Joe received his formal education in Denver where he graduated from Montbello High School in 1989. He furthered his education by attending the Fine Arts Center in Denver. In 1989, Joe enlisted in the United States Army. He served with honor and distinction and was honorably discharged in 1992. Joe was the proud father of two beautiful children, a son named Joe Terrel and a daughter, named Shaneen. The family shared many happy and memorable moments together. Shaneen preceded him in death. By profession, Joe was employed by Door Hangers Direct. He worked as a part of the Distribution Team. He was hard working, worked well with others and dependable. Joe was a fun loving young man, who enjoyed life and those he encircled. He truly enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends. He was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching football. He was a man who never met a stranger and will be remembered for sense of humor and his friendliness. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful man. To know Joe was to love him. Joe Eloy Strock, Jr. departed this life on July 27, 2013, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss include a son, Joe T. Strock; his mother, Helen L. Herrera, his sisters, Dominique Horness, Krystle Horness; his aunts, Mary Robles, Margaret Maestes, Grace Parenti; his nieces, Ylania, Tyhaunnie, Khloe; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
