Jeffrey Thornton

Jeffrey Lynn “Jeff” Thornton was on born on October 22, 1952 to Ms. Evelyn Thornton in Ohio. Several years later, Jeff moved to California with his mother and stayed until he graduated high school in 1970. As a young man seeking his purpose, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served his country via active duty and Army Reserves from 1970 to 1991.

During his honorable service, Jeff was rewarded with many decorations, medals, and ribbons; such as Expert M-16 Rifle Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and Overseas Service Ribbon with Numeral 1 Army Service Ribbon. Jeff served his country very well and we are grateful for his service.

In 1985, Jeff met Ann Thornton at a King Soopers , they dated for 6 years and were joined in holy matrimony in 1991. This year, Jeff and Ann would be celebrating 30 years of marriage. Jeff was very devoted to his wife, they endured much but stuck together through it all. He never failed to put his wife first.

During his free time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was involved in several motorcycle clubs. Those who knew Jeff best describe him as understanding and loving he treated his friends as if they were family and emphasized the importance of having close relationships with those he loved. He will truly be missed.

Jeff is survived by his wife Ann, step-son Eric Taylor (Nicole), step-daughter Kris Taylor, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as his Aunt Connie Thornton, cousin Stephanie and family, Uncle Chris Thornton and family and numerous cousins. He is also survived by his numerous biker brothers and sisters both military and non-military.
