Jeffrey Donnell Levy was born on August 2, 1959, in Jackson, Mississippi to his parents, Samuel Levy and Louise Fisher- Levy. He was the second child born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brother, Darcey and his sisters, Charlestene and Mavis. As a child, he loved to wrestle, play basketball, he was strong willed, and often found innovative and creative ways of getting into trouble. He also loved going to car races and detailing cars alongside his father. The family eventually relocated to Denver, Colorado and Jeffrey completed his fundamental education by graduating from South High School. Jeffrey was later blessed with two grandchildren. Malik and Mataen, who both were an additional source of joy and pride in his life. They both remember him as a strong man whose love and devotion to his family was unconditional and never ending. By profession, Jeffrey was employed by Xcel Energy as a Gas Controller. His co-workers remember his hard work, dedication and how he worked well with others. He was intelligent and easy to work with. He remained with the company for many years. A man of faith and belief in the Lord, Jeffrey joined True Faith Church of God In Christ located in Denver.
