James Westbrook Iii

James C. Westbrook III was born to his parents, James C. Westbrook, Jr. & Lisa Faye Smith Westbrook on November 23, 1981 in Marlin, Texas. He was the 5th child born of 6 to this union.

James began pre-kindergarten class in Marling, Texas and graduated. His family later relocated to Colorado where he attended Denver Public Schools. James III was apart of the Head Start Program, which his father proudly remembers to this day. He earned his High School Diploma in 1999.

James III loved to write poetry, which he proudly shared with his Uncle Lawrence. A hard working man, James managed to work two jobs and was driven to become independent. He was passionate for life and embraced it fully. A true man of faith, he never got enough of praising God.

Life was not perfect for James III but he continued to endure through his struggles. He indeed fought to the end.

James C. Westbrook III is preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Faye Smith Westbrook; his aunt, Emma Westbrook Pennywell and uncle, Albert Westbrook Sr.

James C. Westbrook III passed away on March 13, 2022. Those left to cherish his loving memories include his father, James C. Westbrook Jr; brothers, Terry Westbrook, Eric Westbrook, and Marcus Westbrook; sisters, Alesia Westbrook and Rachel Westbrook Bruns; grandfather, James C. Westbrook Sr.; aunt, Renee Westbrook; uncles, Billy Rogers, Lawrence Howard; sister-in-law, Angela Westbrook; brother-in-law, William Burns; great aunts, Dora Williams, Dorothy Mae Steele, and Ruth “Auntie Cookie” White; great uncle, Steve White; nieces, Elexius Westbrook, Iy’jhenae Westbrook Hendricks, and Shani’yra Westbrook; nephews, Lil Marcus Westbrook Jr, Iy’Jhaun Westbrook, Lil William Burns Jr., Damari Cooper Westbrook, and King Azai D. Westbrook; cousins, Charlie Pennywell, Steven Pennywell, Cory Williams and Albert Westbrook jr., and a host of additional family members and friends.
