James Rock

James Rock was born on August 8, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York to his parents, Christopher Rock and Willie Mia Edwards. He was raised with his brother, Robert, and sister, Gloria. James' family and friends lovingly nicknamed him, "Sonny." James met Geraldine Jones in Brooklyn, New York, and the two would later marry in New York, New York. James would also become the proud stepfather of William Jones. The family would share many happy and joyous moments together. By profession, James was a detailer, detailing cars for several companies. He enjoyed working and took his jobs very serious. James loved the Lord and was baptized in the Baptist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed driving his lovely wife around town, fishing, playing pool, and just having a good time. James' good friend, Janie Hammond will miss the closeness they shared. His family and friends will miss his quick wit, humor, and a great caring deposition. James Rock departed this life on August 12, 2015 in Denver, Colorado. He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his loss his loving wife, Geraldine Rock; his stepson, William Jones; and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
