James Jackson

James Otis Jackson was born on July 2, 1954, in Marvel, Arkansas to his parents, Freddie M. Hatchett Jackson and James A. Jackson. He was the last child born in the family. He had three brothers, Lee, Lewis, and Oscar. He also had two sisters, Rosie, and Mattie. Growing up, James had a good disposition and friendly was by nature. He enjoyed playing basketball and shared a special closeness with his cousins Joyce Ann and Loretta. He received his early education in Marvel, where graduated from M. M. Kate High School. On July 9, 2005, James united in holy matrimony to the former Margie Lee Hall in Denver, Colorado. Margie remembers James as a wonderful husband, a good friend and an excellent provider. With this union, he became the step father of Meynon, Simone, Erica, Nicole and Dwayne. He later became the step grandfather of three. The family shared many happy and precious moments together. James was a fun loving man who enjoyed life and those he encircled. In his free time, he enjoyed playing cards, socializing, working and visiting the Hills. His closest friends will miss the camaraderie's they all shared together and the fact that he was a true and trusted friend. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful man who loved telling jokes, had a laugh and smile that would light any room he entered and who carried a comedic personality. To know James was to love him. James Otis Jackson departed this life on June 12, 2015, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss include his wife, Margie L. Jackson of Thornton, CO; 2 brothers, Oscar (Carolyn) Holliday and Lewis Jackson, Sr. all of Denver; his step children, Meynon M. McCoy of Denver, Simone A. Davis of Thornton, Erica Williams of Denver, Nicole Williams of Texas and Dwayne Williams of Omaha, NE; 3 step grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends
