James Farmer Jr born September 22, 1954. Was a man with dreams, goals, ambitions and a heart of gold. Jimmy came from a strong family that had deep roots in the Seattle, Washington area. His mother Lillie B. Farmer worked and retired form Boeing and his father James Farmer Senior served his country fighting World War II and was deployed in 1945. Mr. Farmer Sr. was a Past Master Mason member of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge and JC Logan 53. These are just a few brief morals and principles James JR was raised amongst. After the passing of his mother James Farmer Jr. moved down to Denver to further his employment opportunities. He sent money back to his grand children and family. With plans on returning back to Seattle in September to buy a home and marry his fiancé Barbara. Mr. Farmer was a hard working family man always willing to step up and help anyone in need. On June 16th 2017 that is just what James did. He heard people in need. Risking his life to save the lives of two teenagers. In the midst of deescalating an assault on a young man allowing him them to get away. James sacrificed himself and in return died a brutal murder. We all have a date that can not be avoided, a date that is chosen to meet our creator. June 16, 2017 was James Farmer’s date he left behind two sisters, a brother, a son, two beautiful women that gave birth to his children, an amazing fiancé, five precious granddaughters and a host of nieces, and nephews that loved him dearly. He is now up In heaven with his mother, father, sister and youngest son. We gained yet another angel to watch over us and he will forever be “OUR HERO.” In closing, despite this horrible incident our family will forever be grateful to the people of the downtown Denver, Colorado area. Mr. Farmer will be remembered for his heroic actions. He did not die in vain. He was a human sacrifice so two young teenagers could continue walking here on earth amongst the living.
