Jamaica Mcclain

December 6, 1979 — March 22, 2019

Jamaica F. McClain affectionately called "Bounxe" by family and friends was born on December 6, 1976, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Debra L. Wallace and George B. McClain. He was the sixth child born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brothers, George, Garrick, Malcolm, Bennie, Roosevelt, and his sister, Dena. As a child, he loved playing with trucks, always looked for attention and is remembered as crying to get his way. He loved the song, "Funkin in Jamaica." He received his early education by attending the Denver Public Schools and later earning his GED in 1995.

On October 24, 2010, Jamaica married the former Gabrielle Dean. They first met in 2001. To this union a daughter, A'Nijah and twin boys, Javae and Javaris were born. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. Gabrielle fondly calls him as her "best friend," he truly enjoyed the happy and memorable times they all shared together. He later met Samone Dean while attending a social gathering. To this union, a son, Jamaica was born. Samone is happy having the privilege of meeting a man that was and will always be special in her heart. "Baby Jamaica" loved his father. They enjoyed videotaping while dancing and performing Rap songs together. He loved his father reading to him and walking him to school. They too shared many happy and precious moments together.

Jamaica was employed as a Warehouse Inventory Specialist. He was hard-working, dedicated, and worked well with his fellow co-workers. He was a fun-loving young man, who enjoyed life and those he encircled. In his free time, he enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends. He loved Sunday dinners, camping, and playing cards. His closest friends include, his special nephew, Rocquise and "Cuddin/Auntie" Edna; other close friends include, Teddy, Jessie, Baby Bounce, Anijah, Samone, his pops and best friend, Starvin, his sister, brothers, and his mother just to name a few. They will miss his smile, his dedication, motivation, loyalty, and his charming ways. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this one of a kind guy.

To know Bounxe was to love him.
