Jacqueline Willett Douglas
As beautiful as a rose to see was her life, she lived so gracefully. She made things precious by her touch; her selfless love lives on in each of us. The petals of her life fell one by one, each a gift of her heart till there were none. Yet her radiance blooms once again in fields of glory with no end.
Jacqueline Willett Douglas was born on July 5, 1957, in Denver, Colorado to her parents, Marion H. Douglas and Matilda J. Jones Douglas. She was the fourth child born in the family. She was raised surrounded by brother, Terrance; and her sisters, Colena and Marian. She received her early education in Denver, where she graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. She furthered her education by attending, Metropolitan College also located in Denver, where she earned an associates degree.
Jacqueline later met, Mack Gray in Denver. To this union, a beautiful baby girl they named D’Ambara was born. The family shared many happy and precious moments together.
By profession, Jacqueline was employed by Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield as a Claims Adjuster. She was hard working, dedicated, and performed her duties with a spirit of excellence. She was respected and admired by her co-workers and the management team.
A source of joy in her life was found by Jacqueline being a member of the Denver Line Dancers and the 5280 Line Dancers. She truly enjoyed the time shared with both organizations.
Jacqueline was a fun-loving woman, who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, traveling, and playing with her “grand dogs, Karen and Gracie. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful woman. To know Jacqueline was to love her.
Jacqueline Willett Douglas departed this life on March 1, 2022, in her home in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include her daughter, D’Ambara A. Gray of Denver, Colorado; 1 brother, Terrance H. Douglas of Thornton, Colorado; 2 sisters, Colena Vanet Douglas of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Marian G. Griffin of Aurora, Colorado; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and many friends.
