Isabel Dean

Isabel Francis Dean, age 93 of Denver Colorado passed away on May 24, 2021. She was born on May 8, 1928 in Omaha, Nebraska to her parents Emma Mae and Thomas Charles Hall. She was one of five children born to this union.

Isabel was educated through Omaha Public Schools and later attended Parks Business College in Omaha, Nebraska. Isabel met the love of her life George Woody Dean in Omaha and they were blessed with two daughters, Demetria Dean and Alicia Dean.

Isabel worked hard to support her family and her work ethic was exemplary. She worked for many years in the catering industry until her retirement in 1975. Isabel was very active in her faith, she was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church until she later moved to Denver, Colorado.

During her free time, she enjoyed cooking, painting, traveling, reading, and playing poker. Most of all, she truly enjoyed spending time with her family. She will truly be missed.

Isabel is preceded in death by her husband, George Woody Dean; parents Thomas Charles Hall and Emma Mae Hall; siblings Joyce Marshall, Marvin Hall, Thomas Hall and Elayne Hall. She is survived by her daughters, Demetria Dean, Alicia Dean; grandchild Tanika Neal, great grandchildren, Tatiana Norman, Tyray Neal, Mwai Karaba Neal, and Fathia Porras, great great grandchildren, Maiya Norman, Jacob Hill and Phoebe Neal.

In honor of Isabel, a Graveside Service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery (4400 West Kenyon Avenue, Denver, CO 80236), Thursday, June 10, 2021, 10AM at Staging Area "A".
