Howard Brannon

Howard Marvin Brannon was born on May 17, 1952, in Denver Colorado, to his parents, Walter and Clemmie Brannon. He was the middle child; he had an older brother, Frank W., and younger sister, Debra K. Growing up on the northeast side of Denver, Howard attended Whittier Elementary, Morey Junior High and East High Schools. Howard met Darcy Wilson and to this union Marvin M. Brannon was born. Howard was proud father, who loved to spend time with his son. Howard worked as a laborer doing various jobs in the Metro Denver area. He enjoyed working on cars, riding his bike, and watching “Bruce Lee” movies. Howard was a devoted mommas boy. No matter the distance, Howard would ride for miles on his bike to see his mother. He took pride in entertaining his friends and family with stories of his eventful life as well as showing them his athletic Karate moves. Howard had a sweet tooth, his favorites sweets were chocolate, Ice cream, strawberry shakes, and Pepsi. He enjoyed hanging out with devoted friends, especially Renee “Nay Nay”. Howard was a member of Shorter AME Community Church, there he accepted Christ and strengthen his spirit of helping others. Through his dedicated service, he reconnected with lifelong friend, Frances Vaughn. The opportunity became available to improve Howard’s quality of life and he welcomed the change. He lived with the Vaughn family and was a valuable asset, even assisting Frances with her cleaning service, helped out at the church, and with family personal care. After living with his favorite Aunt Betty, Howard was determined to live independently and did for a short period of time enjoying his apartment. Howard is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Clemmie Brannon; brother, Frank W. Brannon. Howard Marvin Brannon departed this life on March 19, 2018, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory his son, Marvin Lee Brannon; grandsons, Jeremiah Brannon, Oshae Brannon and Elijah Brannon; sister, Debra K. (Tony) Johnson; aunt, Betty Grice; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
