Henry Clay Cannady was bone February 11, 1937, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Rueben and Inez Ashley Cannady; both deceased. Henry was the third child born into this family. His sibling; Rueben Jr., Leanard, Wilma, Mae, Carla, Kathy, Donna, Jehorna and Taresa, remember their brother as an "Go Getter", If Henry put his mind to something, there was no holding him back.
Henry was reared in the Muskogee, Oklahoma School District and although his education was cut short, he pursued a career in the armed forces; where he became an Air Force Soldier who fought for his country with dignity and honor. After being Honorably discharge from the Air Force; Henry continued to work hard, being employed by the Denver County, as a Truck driver.
In 1961 Henry laid his eyes on Ms. Nancy Jo Hawkins who captured his heart and they were married on August 7, 1961. To this union four children were born, Bridget, Brian, Angelique, and Antoinette whom he was very proud of. Henry was also blessed with 12 wonderful grandchildren; Monticue, Gabrielle, Brittany, Brian, Jeris, Malik, Khidhar, Mustapha, Ajanae, Najah, Joshua and Samia,
who were an incredible source of joy for him.
Henry loved cars and working on them so much so he fulfilled his passion by collecting some of his favorite models, but one really seized his heart; a Cadillac CTS, which he has till this day.
Henry passed away peacefully on July 17, 2019 in the comfort of his home. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Bridget, Brian, Angelique, Antoinette., his grandchildren and great grandchildren. A host of sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
